On April 4 and 5, 2019, Monic Behnken, associate professor in the Department of Sociology and director of Leadership Studies, attended the Iowa Network for Women in Higher Education Women’s Leadership Conference.

The conference, with the 2019 theme of “Lifting as We Climb” was held and Reiman Gardens and hosted a variety of panels that focused on learning what paths and obstacles exist for women leaders and embracing leadership complexities while climbing the mountain that is academia.
