What she does: As a faculty member, I engage in teaching, research, and service. I teach courses in both the undergraduate and graduate Criminal Justice programs at UCCS. Examples of courses that I teach include: Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminological Theory, Human Trafficking, Violence, Criminal Justice Policy, and Gender, Race, Social Class and the Criminal Justice System. I also conduct research pertaining to human trafficking, corrections, and the intersections of race, gender, class, and crime. I regularly partner with agencies in the criminal justice system to conduct research. My service duties at UCCS include directing the undergraduate criminal justice program and directing the campus wide Undergraduate Research Academy.
